Lubbock Small Animal Emergency Clinic in Lubbock, TX is seeking an Emergency Associate Veterinarian to join our fast-paced ER team. We provide mentorship and ongoing training to help you grow in emergency medicine.

You will perform exams, diagnostics, and imaging, develop treatment plans, and work with a collaborative team to ensure top care for patients. Swing and overnight shifts are available with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Degree from an accredited university.
• Current DEA License or obtained upon hire.
• Active Veterinary State License.
• USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Perform thorough physical exams, diagnostic tests, and imaging to assess the severity of patient conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medical and surgical interventions as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the veterinary team and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for each patient.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and recommendations in a compassionate and clear manner.
• Ensure proper documentation and accurate record-keeping of all medical procedures and treatments.
• Stay current with advances in emergency medicine and participate in continuous education opportunities.
• Work swing and overnight shifts.
