Evolution Veterinary Specialists, located in Lakewood, CO, seeks an experienced ER DVM to deliver urgent and life-saving care. Work alongside board-certified specialists in a fast-paced, supportive environment that values integrity and growth.
You'll diagnose, treat, and develop individualized plans with other DVMs, while communicating clearly with clients about prognosis and costs. Expect rotating day/night shifts, weekend coverage, and opportunities for advanced procedures.
ER Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Hourly Pay Rate: $140,000 - $190,000 (plus production compensation with no negative accrual)

We are a privately owned, AAHA-accredited, 26,000 sq ft specialty and emergency hospital located at the base of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Our state-of-the-art facility includes a 2,500 sq ft ICU featuring Snyder units and high-flow oxygen therapy, designed to support our most critical patients. We also offer a newly expanded, four-suite surgery center and an on-site blood bank to support advanced procedures and trauma care. Additional highlights include specialty procedure suites, a full imaging center with CT, and cutting-edge technology such as 4D echocardiography, fluoroscopy, laparoscopy, and laser therapy.

As a vital member of our Emergency team, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering urgent and life-saving care to patients while collaborating closely with our specialty services to develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. Full-Time ER DVM Schedule
12 shifts per four-week rotation (approximately 156 shifts annually).
Typical schedule: A rotating schedule consisting of day, swing, and overnight shifts based on hospital needs.
Shifts may include weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage as needed.
Part-Time ER DVM Schedule
6 shifts per four-week rotation (approximately 78 shifts annually).
Typical schedule: A rotating schedule consisting of day, swing, and overnight shifts based on hospital needs.
Shifts may include weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage as needed.
This role is physically active and fast-paced. You'll need to:
Lift up to 50 lbs frequently
Kneel, stoop, crouch, and be on your feet for long periods
Operate medical and office equipment
Work around biological hazards and cleaning agents
Communicate clearly in noisy environments
