As part of Ethos Veterinary Health, you'll join 70+ veterinarians and 200+ staff, access advanced diagnostics (CT, MRI, ultrasound) and an in-house lab, collaborate with specialists, and pursue ongoing learning and clinical research.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required and Texas licensure eligibility.
• Experience in emergency medicine or related fast-paced care environments preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent cases.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care with triage and stabilization as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Collaborate closely with GCVS specialists, veterinarians, House Officers, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Texas veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a small animal rotating internship (or equivalent training), or a minimum of two years of emergency medicine experience.
• Strong skills in emergency stabilization, diagnostics, and critical case management.
• Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with clients, colleagues, and referring veterinarians.
• Sound clinical judgment, adaptability, and composure under pressure.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency veterinary medicine.
