Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group in Chantilly, VA seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team. You will handle triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care nursing while providing empathetic support to pet parents in high-stress moments.

You will work with doctors and VEG teams to deliver gold-standard care, with opportunities to learn and grow through mentorship and ongoing ER CE programs.

Qualifications

• Must be credentialed as a Veterinary Technician in the state of practice.
• 1+ years of vet tech experience; emergency or specialty preferred.
• AVMA-accredited program is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia and monitoring.
• Assist with procedures and patient management during emergency cases.
• Deliver compassionate support to pet parents and maintain emotional stability.
• Collaborate with doctors and the care team to ensure seamless care.
• Perform CPR and emergency interventions as needed and trained.
• Utilize monitoring equipment, IVs, CRIs and blood products as required.
• Support anesthesia and critical care nursing during patient stabilization and recovery.
