Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Animal Emergency Clinic - O'Fallon is seeking a Dayshift Veterinary Technician to join our 24/7 emergency team. We offer a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 based on experience and a supportive Culture of Care.

You will perform patient care, triage, nursing duties, radiographs, lab tests, and help with surgery alongside licensed technicians and veterinarians at our O'Fallon facility, a trusted regional emergency hospital with advanced capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant veterinary experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, record weight and vital signs on arrival.
• Triaging patients, performing examinations, treatments, and assisting with medications as directed by licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and restraints.
• Perform laboratory tests and radiographs; operate hospital equipment.
• Maintain medical records and ensure proper documentation of controlled drugs.
