Job summary

VEG in Ardmore, PA seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will work closely with doctors to deliver high-quality, compassionate care for pets and their families during emergencies.

You will perform triage, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, and critical care tasks while advancing your skills through mentorship and ongoing learning opportunities at VEG.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located; VTS in ECC/ internal medicine/ anesthesia is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line emergency veterinary care support across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments, from triage to discharge.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, central lines, and endoscopy as part of patient care.
