Thrive Pet Healthcare in Culver City, CA, is seeking a Veterinary Technician Shift Supervisor - Emergency to lead our ER team during high‑volume nights and weekends.

As a key patient‑care leader, you will coordinate technical staff, optimize census and triage, and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in urgent care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience in a lead/supervisor role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the individuals working on any given shift to ensure their work product is excellent.
• Review any patient / doctor issues that come up in the moment to allow for expedient and satisfactory resolution.
• Assign patients to the appropriate group based upon case severity and knowledge of technical skill level of group technical employees.
• Updating full patient census forms and patient board regularly during shift.
• Updating Triage Board as necessary in a Triage-Center-In-Certification-Process Hospital.
• Ensure rounds are being appropriately handled as patients are transferred from one person to the next.
• Acts as primary person for resource management of technical staff within the Emergency Department.
• As assigned by the Technician Manager, trains staff in any technical areas requested.
• Responsible for being primary key-holder OR Cubex resource as needed.
