Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group The PC in Austin, TX seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (Per Diem) to join our fast-paced, 24/7 ER team. You’ll handle triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, collaborating with doctors to deliver gold standard care.

Ideal candidates have a AVMA-accredited credential and state licensure, 1+ year emergency/critical care experience, strong communication, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician in the state of practice is required; VTS in ECC/IM/anesthesia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in emergencies.
• Triaging, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
