Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team in Arizona. You will handle a wide range of emergencies, assist doctors, perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, while supporting pet parents in stressful moments.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; ready to lend a hand to support those around you
• Empathetic, people-centric approach to patients, clients, and coworkers
• Strong foundation in veterinary technology and clinical skills
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of practice preferred

Responsibilities

• Triage and assist in emergencies from first triage to discharge
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing
• Work collaboratively with doctors and team to ensure smooth patient flow
• Perform central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds and other advanced procedures as needed
• Manage patient care equipment and medications
• Support pet parents through stressful situations with empathy and clarity
• Contribute to a positive, fast-paced ER environment
