Job summary
National Veterinary Associates is seeking an Assistant Hospital Manager / Emergency Veterinary Technician Manager to join our emergency hospital leadership team in Sumner, WA. This hands-on role balances coaching, operations, and direct patient care.
You will oversee the Emergency Technician team, collaborate with the Hospital Manager and Medical Director, develop staff, optimize workflows, and uphold AAHA standards to ensure exceptional patient and client care.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in veterinary emergency medicine.
- Previous veterinary hospital experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is a plus; credentialed VT preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop the Emergency Technician team.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate new technicians and assistants.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching for career development.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
- Coordinate continuing education opportunities and staff engagement.
