Job summary

Sumner Veterinary Hospital in Sumner, WA is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited, 24-hour hospital. You will provide high-quality nursing care and collaborate with our experienced team across general practice, emergency care, rehabilitation, grooming, lodging, daycare, and training.

With 14 doctors, 11 LVTs, and a supportive staff, you’ll practice advanced medicine, mentor colleagues, and contribute to outstanding client service.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Licensed Veterinary Technician credential required
• Strong technical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Passion for patient care and client service
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Assist with surgery, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, diagnostics, and emergency care
• Perform technical skills within the LVT scope of practice
• Partner closely with veterinarians to provide high-quality patient care
• Educate clients on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Contribute to an exceptional client experience while upholding the hospital's standards of care
