Job summary
NVA General Practice in Washington state seeks an experienced Assistant Hospital Manager / Emergency Veterinary Technician Manager to guide the Emergency Technician team and coordinate with the Hospital Manager and Medical Director. You will lead operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and maintain exceptional client service.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in veterinary emergency medicine.
- Previous veterinary hospital experience required.
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is a plus.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing veterinary teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Passion for building team culture, developing people, and delivering exceptional patient and client care.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop the Emergency Technician team.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate new technicians and assistants.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing coaching, and support career development.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
- Coordinate continuing education opportunities and ensure team members remain engaged in professional growth.
- Manage technician scheduling, staffing levels, and shift coverage.
- Monitor patient flow and adjust staffing to meet hospital needs.
- Collaborate on SOPs and ensure AAHA/OSHA/DEA compliance.
- Assist with cross-training and staffing support across departments.
- Maintain focus on patient safety, quality medicine, and operations.
