BluePearl Pet Hospital in Northfield, IL is seeking an experienced Emergency Triage Veterinary Technician/Advanced Patient Care Associate. The role operates Sunday–Tuesday, 7am–7pm, with on-call and holiday requirements.

Pay ranges from $23.20 to $43.70 per hour depending on licensing, experience, and competency levels. The position offers competitive shift differentials and opportunities to grow within a high-volume veterinary hospital.

Qualifications

• Experienced Emergency Triage Veterinary Technician.
• Ability to induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Triage and obtain vitals including temp, HR, RR, BP.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals.
• Perform radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Understand normal vital sign ranges and alert veterinarians to changes.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Place feeding tubes and central lines as needed.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Address client concerns with empathy.
