Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking a full-time Emergency Service Head to lead the ER team and collaborate with board-certified specialists. You will manage ER clinician schedules, mentor staff, and coordinate with hospital leadership to advance patient care and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a DVM, have completed an internship, and have at least three years of ER experience, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• DVM from an accredited university with internship completion.
• At least three years of ER experience; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the schedule for all ER Clinicians, including PTO requests.
• Facilitate ER Clinician meetings and participate in hospital leadership meetings.
• Mentor ER Clinicians and new ER/ICU staff and oversee case management decisions.
• Coordinate integration of emergency and specialty services for hospitalized cases.
• Assist in patient safety reporting, recruitment, and mentor assignment.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership on ER improvement initiatives.
