Job summary

Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (PSVSE) is seeking an experienced Emergency Client Service Representative to join our 24/7 ER team. The role focuses on managing emergency calls, coordinating patient check-ins, and ensuring compassionate client care during stressful visits.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of veterinary CSR experience, with preference for emergency or specialty backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year veterinary CSR or reception experience.
• Emergency or specialty veterinary experience strongly preferred.
• Strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and efficient in high-pressure situations.
• Confidence handling emotional or sensitive client interactions.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn, grow, and support others.

Responsibilities

• Answer and manage incoming emergency calls with urgency, professionalism, and empathy.
• Provide compassionate support to clients during stressful and emotional situations.
• Obtain accurate patient histories and communicate effectively with the medical team.
• Triage calls appropriately and prioritize incoming cases based on urgency.
• Check in emergency patients efficiently while maintaining a positive client experience.
• Support front desk workflow including documentation, payments, and medical record management.
• Collaborate closely with doctors, technicians, assistants, and leadership to support patient care.
• Maintain an organized, professional, and team-focused reception environment.
