PetVet Care Centers' Cascade Veterinary Referral Center is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant (Day Shift) in Tigard, OR. This role supports veterinarians and technicians by handling tasks from patient care and restraint to clinical support and administrative duties.

Ideal candidates have a veterinary environment background, are 18+, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. The position is full-time with three 12-hour day shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years' experience in a veterinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, record vital signs and weights.
• Triage, perform exams, treatments, and assist with medications as directed.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients; restrain patients as needed.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and patient restraint.
• Maintain medical records and hospital cleanliness.
