Job summary

IDR is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Technician to join a top client in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on upfitting law enforcement vehicles, wiring emergency lighting, and integrating equipment within a structured, paramilitary environment.

You will install consoles, mobile radios, cameras, and license plate readers; perform vehicle electrical work; support fleet maintenance; high school diploma; 1+ year in automotive/electrical installation; able to lift 75 pounds. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of automotive, fleet, or electrical installation experience.
• Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
• Experience with hand and power tools and wiring work.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire emergency lighting systems, sirens, push bumpers, and other equipment.
• Install police vehicle consoles, docks, printers, partitions, and related gear.
• Install mobile radios, antennas, cameras, and license plate readers.
• Perform vehicle electrical work including wiring, grounding, and power distribution.
• Support fleet maintenance and vehicle preparation activities.
