Job summary

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) is seeking a physician to join our one-year Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship, focused on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and our academic mission.

As an Ultrasound Fellow, you will maintain clinical practice in our busy ED while teaching residents and medical students, and you will help expand the ultrasound program through teaching, QA, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency.
• Current or eligible for unrestricted medical license in New Hampshire.
• Board Certification or eligibility from an ABMS-recognized board, with certification to be obtained within five years if not already achieved.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly ultrasound QA image review sessions.
• Develop and deliver resident lectures, hands-on workshops, and supervised scanning sessions.
• Provide ultrasound education for medical students throughout their curriculum.
• Collaborate with departments across the institution and regional partners to support ultrasound education and training initiatives.
• Contribute to the continued growth and innovation of the DHMC Emergency Ultrasound Program.
