Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking Emergency Technicians to join the emergency team in the fast-paced Portland ED. This role supports physicians and nurses, providing direct patient care and essential supplies to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

Candidates should have BLS/CPR, PMAB training on hire, and at least one year of relevant clinical experience. Military medical or CNA/MA training is also welcomed as applicable credentials.

Qualifications

• National BLS (AHA) required on hire.
• PMAB training annually upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year relevant clinical experience.
• Patient care or clinical experience preferred.
• Experience from certification or licensure processes, military medical personnel, or senior nursing student also considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as part of the emergency team to optimize outcomes.
• Assist physicians during procedures by supplying sutures, instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain sterile technique during procedures and ensure proper infection control.

Job description

Emergency Technician at Providence Portland Medical Center has multiple shifts and FTEs available.

Works closely with all members of the emergency team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Assists the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.

Required Qualifications:

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.


• Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Annually upon hire.
