Providence Milwaukie Hospital is seeking an Emergency Technician for a 0.6 FTE part-time night shift position, weekdays and weekends. The role works in close collaboration with the emergency team to deliver direct patient care and supports physicians during procedures while maintaining sterile technique.

Qualifications include BLS certification, PMAB annual training, and at least 1 year of relevant experience; EMT/Paramedic or CNA/M.A. credentials preferred.

Description

Emergency Technician at Providence Milwaukie Hospital is 0.6 FTE part time position working during weekdays and weekends on a night shift.

Works closely with all members of the emergency team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Assists the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.

Required Qualifications:

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

• Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Annually upon hire .

• 1 year relevant experience.

• Patient care or clinical experience preferred.

• Experience acquired during certification or licensure process, military experience as medical personnel or senior clinical nursing student is also considered.

Preferred Qualification:

• Current or previous EMT, Paramedic, Completion of Medical Assistant Program or CNA certificate upon hire.
