HSHS Medical Group is hiring Emergency Technicians for St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. The role supports nursing staff in the Emergency Department, delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining a calm, confident presence in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and preferred CNA/EMT/LPN experience with healthcare exposure. Schedule is full-time, 7am–7pm, with base pay plus shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, LPN or Emergency Medical Technician experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Eligible to work as a Nursing Assistant in hospital or home health settings in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the emergency department.
• Work closely with RNs and the emergency team to maintain a calm, caring presence.
• Support the ED and shift operations during 7am–7pm schedules.
