SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL is seeking an Emergency Services Technician for full-time day shifts. The role supports patient care, assists with labs, EKGs, and coordinating patient flow with radiology to improve turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience OR Certified Nurse Assistant OR EMT Basic OR nursing student with completion of fundamentals course.
• Experience: No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in collection of labs and coordinates patient flow with radiology to assist with turnaround times.
• Responds to patients' requests for assistance and answers call lights promptly; assists with transfer and transportation of patients.
• Assists the Registered Nurse with taking and recording vital signs and reports significant findings to the RN.
• Obtains EKGs for emergent/urgent situations.
• Orders and stocks supplies; performs routine cleaning duties.
• Answers phones and relays messages.
