Shelter House in Alexandria, VA seeks a Residential Coordinator to provide 24-hour awake coverage in a 50-bed shelter for single adults. You will serve as the first point of contact for client needs and help maintain a safe, supportive shelter environment.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, front desk operations, facilities support, and collaboration with Case Managers to reinforce client service plans, while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to agency policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide crisis intervention and maintain a calm, safe environment.
• Strong communication with clients, staff, and partners.
• Ability to monitor and manage front desk operations and inquiries.
• Familiarity with basic shelter operations and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour awake coverage to ensure a safe shelter environment.
• Serve as first point of contact for client needs and support.
• Conduct front desk operations, crisis intervention, and incident documentation.
• Coordinate with Case Managers to support client service plans.
• Maintain shelter logs and ensure documentation aligns with policies.
• Assist with daily cleaning and restocking of supplies as needed.
