Job summary

The Salvation Army seeks a Shelter Care Associate to supervise residents and ensure a safe environment at the Emergency Lodge on second and third shifts, with occasional first shift as assigned. You will monitor activities, assist with intake, and help maintain records and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include front-desk duties, incident reporting, providing basic needs and meals, conducting room checks, documenting walk-throughs, and enforcing shelter policies while supporting case

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or equivalent; one year of college preferred.
• Experience: prefer 1 year with homeless/low-income or related issues.
• Licenses: Valid driver's license with insurance clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents for safety and location at all times.
• Manage front desk duties, including calls, mail, visitors and resident flow.
• Conduct intake and discharge services with necessary paperwork and program overview.
• Provide basic needs including hygiene items, meals, and supplies.
• Maintain logs and incident reports; inform supervisory staff of incidents.
