Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking an Emergency Services Technician in Martinsville, VA. This in-person, PRN role involves administrative tasks, telemetry monitoring, and patient workflow support across hospital units.

Must have a high school diploma; EMT Intermediate preferred; CNA license or eligibility required. Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, are expected to ensure care continuity.

Qualifications

• Ability to respond quickly and calmly under stress or emergency.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
• Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
• Enters nursing requests with nurse approval.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges; maintains patient records.
• Performs clerical tasks and stocks supplies.
• Assists RNs and physicians with patient activities.
• Monitors telemetry and identifies arrhythmias; intervenes as needed.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Tests equipment and reports issues.
• Other tasks as assigned.
