Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking an Emergency Services Officer to ensure safety and security of personnel, visitors, and assets. You will operate fire and security systems, issue badges, monitor access, respond to emergencies, conduct drills, and support crash/ems operations. The role is on-site on 2nd shift (2pm–12am) with 4 days on/4 days off; training may occur on 1st shift.

U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance is required; CT firefighter Level 1 and EMT

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• EMT certification is required.
• Connecticut Firefighter Level 1 certification is required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize plant protection equipment and procedures to control access and movement of employees and visitors.
• Issue badges, control site security, and manage the passage and receipt of classified material, hardware, and documents.
• Oversee parking area operations and assist in escorting visitors and contracted employees as required.
• Conduct fire inspections, monitor fire detection and control equipment, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and insurance requirements.
• Conduct fire drills to train employees on proper procedures and actions during emergencies.

Education

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification

Connecticut Firefighter Level 1 certification
