Dayton Children's is seeking an Emergency Services Paramedic to join the South Campus Emergency Department. This full-time role (36 hours) focuses on delivering basic patient care, comfort measures, and maintaining a safe care environment under physician or RN supervision.
Candidate must hold Ohio Paramedic certification with CPR/BLS; PALS/ACLS will be required within four weeks of hire. Valid Ohio driver's license and eligibility for hospital insurance are required.

The Emergency Services Paramedic delivers basic patient care, provides comfort measures, maintains patient care environment, and reports patient responses to the appropriate licensed staff member. The Emergency Services Paramedic is a member of the collaborative practice team and renders care in accordance with the Ohio Public Safety Rule; the Paramedic may perform emergency medical services only under the direction and supervision of a physician or registered nurse designated by a physician and only in the hospital's emergency department or while moving a patient between the emergency department and another department.

For Transport Paramedics, the EVOC Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification is preferred at time of hire, but required within two weeks of hire.
The Transport Paramedic position requires maintaining a valid Ohio driver’s license, being a minimum of 21 years old, and meeting all eligibility criteria for coverage under the hospital’s insurance policy.
An Emergency Services Paramedic does not require EVOC for Driving purposes.
