Job summary

Pasco County BoCC is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform skilled mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on Pasco County vehicles and equipment, including emergency services and construction units. The role also involves computerized diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure safe, reliable operations.

You will inspect, service, and repair gasoline and diesel systems, operate a wrecker as needed, and support other shop staff.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Two years' journey-level automotive/diesel mechanic experience in the last five years.
• Must have current Florida driver's license; ability to obtain CDL Class B with P within 12 months.
• ASE A1/A4/A5 or T2/T4/T6/T7 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain gasoline or diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Perform monthly inspections and routine maintenance.
• Conduct computerized diagnostic testing and analysis.
• Maintain work area and assist other shop personnel.
• Operate a wrecker and use a PC for documentation.
