Job summary

Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital, a 178-bed medical-surgical facility on Florida’s Treasure Coast, seeks a Nursing Leadership professional to oversee Emergency Services operations. You’ll drive patient flow, safety and standard of care.

You will manage budgets, lead staffing, and champion evidence-based practice in alignment with EMTALA and Joint Commission standards. The role emphasizes collaboration, performance coaching and process improvement to deliver high-quality, patient-centered

Qualifications

• BSN from an approved nursing program required.
• MSN/DNP or BSN with graduate degree preferred.
• 3 years ED RN experience and 1 year leadership experience.
• Current FL RN license or NLC.
• Current BLS preferred.
• Certs: ACLS/PALS/NALS/TNCC may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the environment and makes recommendations to ensure optimal patient comfort, safety, and compliance with standards of care and governing bodies.
• Plans and coordinates quality and service activities in the department and is responsible for the culture of safety within the department.
• Promotes a satisfied, healthy work environment for the workforce by fostering growth and development.
• Analyzes and maintains an effective nursing delivery model reflecting patient and family needs.
• Participates in planning and implementing new technologies and procedures to support day-to-day operations.
• Ensures development, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based clinical nursing practice.
• Develops and introduces approved standards for emergency service programs.
• Leads change effectively and serves as a liaison to nursing administration.
• Facilitates team member involvement in professional activities.
• Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA laws.
• Develops and manages department budget with cost-effective responses to patient needs.
• Manages HR functions including hiring, assignments, coaching, and performance counseling.
