Job summary

Stony Brook University is seeking an Emergency Services Coordinator to provide a wide range of administrative functions for the Emergency Medical Services department.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional appearance and sound judgment in interactions with staff, faculty, physicians, senior leadership and external partners.

Job Description - Emergency Services Coordinator - EMS (2602684)

Position Summary

At Stony Brook Medicine, the Emergency Services Coordinator will provide a wide range of administrative functions. The incumbent must be detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task. The incumbent presents a professional appearance and exercises sound judgement and communication skills when working with staff, faculty, physicians, senior leadership and outside vendors and guests.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Associate's degree. At least 3 years of administrative and/or supervisory experience. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Please Note: Verification of degree (e.g., diploma or official transcript) is required for this role. Upload of documentation must be included with your application for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Administrative experience working for executive leadership in an academic, clinical orresearch environment.Certification as a NYS Emergency Medical Services Technician. Demonstrated experience in handling administrative functions with independence and accountability.

  • Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.
  • Successfully complete a 4panel drug screen*
  • Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre employment screenings.
  • Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.

*The hiring department will be responsible for any fee incurred for examination

Anticipated Pay Range:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $54,121 - $65,795 / year.

The above salary range represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate’s validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired.

Some positions offer annual supplemental pay such as:

Location pay for UUP, CSEA & PEF full-time positions ($4000)
