Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Emergency Room Technician for a contract role based out of Stanford, CA. The position involves preparing exams, processing refills, and collecting lab specimens in a fast-paced ED.

Ideal candidates have EMT certification, BLS, and prior emergency or ambulance experience, with familiarity in Epic systems and CPR protocol. Onsite work with comprehensive benefits and a strong long-term career path in medicine.

Qualifications

• EMT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in emergency response and ambulance environments.
• Familiarity with Epic, BLS, and CPR procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare information, equipment, and supplies for exams.
• Process prescription refill requests following established practices.
• Collect and send specimens to labs for testing per protocol.
• Report and refer patient concerns to licensed clinic personnel.
• Schedule and maintain patient physician appointments and radiology.
• Maintain clean and orderly exam rooms and work areas.
• Inform patients about authorizations and collect payments using the scheduling system.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance data into systems.
• Ensure verifications and authorizations are complete before seeing the provider.
• Assist with messaging from patient to physician promptly.
