Job summary

HSHS Medical Group's St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL is seeking an Emergency Technician to join the Emergency Department, delivering nursing support and calm, patient-centered care during the night shift.

You will work closely with RNs and the emergency team; certifications include CNA/LPN/EMT and Basic Life Support are required.

This full-time position pays $17.50–$24.50 per hour with potential shift differentials and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, LPN or Emergency Medical Technician required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the emergency department.
• Coordinate with RNs and the rest of the emergency team to deliver nursing support.
• Support nursing staff during high-stress shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Pay Range: $17.50 - $24.50

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Emergency Technicians work closely with RNs and the rest of the emergency team to provide high-quality patient care and a calming confident and caring presence in the potentially high-stress and fast-paced emergency department.

Certified Nursing Assistant LPN or Emergency Medical Technician.

Eligible to work as a Nursing Assistant in the hospital and/or home health care agency as listed on the state Nurse Aide Registry LPN licensed in the state of practice or Emergency Medical Technician certified in state of practice.
