Job summary

Amery Hospital & Clinic in Amery, WI seeks an Emergency Room Technician (ERT) to perform routine treatments, assist in collecting specimens, and provide clerical support to staff while prioritizing urgent needs and reporting data to the RN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC computer system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine treatments in the ED.
• Assist in collecting specimens (urine, stool, finger stick glucose).
• Provide clerical support and order supplies.
• Prioritize patient needs and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Accurately report patient data to the RN in a timely manner.

Job description

As the Emergency Room Technician (ERT) in Amery Hospital & Clinic's Emergency Department, you will perform routine treatments, assist in the collection of patient specimens (urine, stool, and finger stick blood glucose) and provide clerical support to staff such as ordering supplies. In this role, you must be able to prioritize the urgency of patient needs, initiate the appropriate interventions of care and accurately report patient data to RN in a timely manner.

Work Schedule:

1900-0700 and every 3rd weekend

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of National EMS program
• Current EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, LPN or CNA license in the state of Wisconsin
• Three years experience as a CNA, LPN or EMT preferred.
• Experience in EPIC computer system.
