Job summary

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for night shifts (7P–7A). This role involves delivering patient-centered care, utilizing the nursing process, and maintaining clinical excellence in a fast-paced ED environment.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program with NH RN licensure and BLS certification. A BSN is preferred, with specialty certification advantageous; minimum 9 months acute RN experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Specialty certification strongly preferred.
• Current NH RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.

Accredited school of nursing

Job Summary And Qualifications

To deliver care and create a therapeutic environment for patients and families whose needs range from basic to complex by utilizing the nursing process. To carry out functions in a manner consistent with Performance Improvement and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. To demonstrate clinical excellence through proficient practice which enhances and enriches the practice environment. Proficiency is evidenced by adeptness, facility, aptitude, ease and skill in managing complexity and uncertainty.

Experience

• Minimum Of 9 Months Of Acute Registered Nursing Experience.

Licensure/Certification

• Current registration in the State of NH as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
