Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. This is a per diem/PRN position with 12-hour shifts in the Emergency Department, requiring acute care expertise and current certifications.

The ER RN will triage, administer care, monitor patients, and coordinate with physicians. Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to perform life-saving interventions are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license is required.
• BLS certification must be current at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• TNCC within 6 months of hire is required.
• One year ER or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on arrival and triage according to protocols.
• Provide direct care, administer meds, monitor vitals, manage pain.
• Stabilize patients and initiate life-saving interventions as needed.
• Work in high-stress, fast-paced shifts and coordinate with physicians.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and discharge instructions.
