Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Room RN for Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. The position runs nights from 7pm to 7am, full-time, in the Emergency Department, with a sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and TNNC. Prior ER or critical care experience is preferred. Responsibilities include triage, direct patient care, and rapid intervention when needed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• TNNC within 6 months of hire; CEN preferred; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on arrival and prioritize care per triage protocols.
• Provide direct care including medications, wound care, and pain management.
• Stabilize patients and, if needed, initiate life-saving interventions (ACLS/PALS/trauma).
• Manage high-stress situations and communicate changes with physicians.
• Comply with EMTALA and report abuse as required; educate patients and families.
