Job summary

Riverside Health in Smithfield, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide the total nursing care for assigned patients in the Emergency Services Complex. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions and high-quality outcomes.

Under supervision of the Nurse Manager and Director, you will document per RHS standards and demonstrate urgency to maintain throughput and ethical patient care.

Qualifications

• Critical nursing decision making and clinical judgment.
• RN license in VA or compact state required on hire.
• CPR/BLS required on hire; ACLS within 90 days; PALS preferred within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs.
• Develop, implement and evaluate care plans.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for safe transitions and education.
• Complete documentation per standards and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate urgency to improve patient throughput and outcomes.
