Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Jersey.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Associates or BSN).
• AHA BLS certification.
• ACLS certification or plan to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• PALS certification or plan to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or plan to obtain by end of orientation.
• Minimum 1 year ED or acute care experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments on arrival to prioritize care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following safety protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical status, documenting changes and informing the team.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and treatment records.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with ED practices.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards.
