Nebraska Methodist Health System in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking an experienced RN for an ER/ICU setting. The role requires two years of ER/ICU nursing experience and an active RN license (compact preferred).

A BSN is preferred, NIH Stroke Scale training within 6 months is expected, with collaborative care and adherence to standards. Shifts include 36 hours per week with rotating weekends/holidays; sign-on incentives may apply, including tuition reimbursement and other financial incentives.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Current RN license with compact multi-state license or temporary permit.
• NIH Stroke Scale training required at hire or within 6 months of hire.
• Two years ER/ICU nursing experience required.

Responsabilités

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care as outlined in population-specific criteria.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments to determine nursing care needs.
• Develop, review, and revise the plan of care to address patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines; provide patient teaching.
• Administer medications safely and follow nursing protocols.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and communicate needs via SBAR handover.
