Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking an experienced RN to provide high-level care in an ER/CC setting at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital. You will assess, plan, and implement patient care while coordinating with physicians and the care team.

The role requires a BSN and RN licensure with NIH Stroke Scale training by hire or within 6 months. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and shift differentials may be available, along with tuition support and parking benefits.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program; RN license required.
• NIH Stroke Scale training required at hire or within 6 months.
• 1 year of ER or Critical Care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers age-appropriate nursing care per unit standards and patient needs.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessments to guide discharge planning.
• Develops and revises individualized care plans with the care team.
• Administers medications accurately and follows safety protocols.
• Monitors patient responses and communicates changes to the team.
• Maintains competency with equipment and infection control practices.
• Participates in performance improvement and risk reduction activities.
• Documents SBAR handoffs and care requirements for oncoming staff.
