Job summary

Baptist Health, the largest healthcare system in central Alabama, is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee nursing staff on the 7P ED unit at Baptist Medical Center East.

The RN will use the nursing process for patient assessments and care planning, ensuring quality and continuity of care, while collaborating with physicians and other clinicians.

Active RN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC may be needed depending on area.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required; BSN degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required; BLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc may be required depending on area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff on shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions.
• Collaborate with Physicians and other healthcare clinicians in the planning and implementation of patient care.
• Some additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.
