Job summary

UCHealth UCHlth Broomfield Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team. The role is full-time, onsite, with a 1:00pm to 1:30am shift and a biweekly schedule of 72 hours.

The ED cares for Level 1 trauma and requires strong trauma and critical care skills. Minimum qualifications include RN licensure, TNCC/ATCN within 1 year, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 6 months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 6 months of RN experience.
• TNCC or ATCN within 1 year of hire.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Trauma nursing certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department up to Level 1 trauma designation.
• Utilize nursing process to deliver evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Precept new staff and maintain clinical competency during orientation.
