Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Department RN for Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. The ER RN will provide rapid assessment and skilled care to patients in a busy ED, following triage protocols and standard care pathways.

Shifts are evenings, 12 hours long (11:00am to 11:00pm), with a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Candidates must hold an active RN license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC certifications, with ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients upon arrival to determine severity and priority of care.
• Provide direct care including medications, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
• Stabilize patients and initiate life-saving interventions as needed (ACLS/PALS/trauma).
• Manage high-stress situations calmly and efficiently across multiple patients.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, options, and discharge instructions.

Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center - Gadsden, AL

We are seeking an Emergency Department RN, also referred to as an EmergencyRoomRN(ER RN) to provide rapid and skilled care to patients who arrive at the hospital seeking emergency medical attention. The ER Nurses are skilled professionals who play a critical role in deliveringemergentand urgent care to patients in the emergency department.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Assess patients upon arrival todeterminethe severity of their condition and prioritizecareaccordingly, follow standardized triage protocols to quicklyidentifypatients who require immediate attention due to life-threatening conditions

• Provide direct care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries which may involve administering medications, performing procedures such as wound care or splinting,monitoringvital signs, and managing pain

• In cases of severe illness or trauma, you mayassistwith stabilizing patients andinitiatinglife-saving interventions, this can include advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and trauma care

• Managehigh-stressand rapidly changing situations effectively. remain calm, focused, and decisive while providing care to multiple patients simultaneously during busy shifts or mass casualty events

• Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

• In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current.
• EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.

Additional Qualifications That AreaPlus:

Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
