Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support the emergency department with comprehensive clinical pharmacy services. You will perform pharmacokinetic and therapeutic consultations, review orders for safety and efficacy, and ensure accurate computer entry and timely dispensing.

You will also document interventions, communicate drug information to patients and health professionals, and maintain knowledge across all age groups.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with Doctor of Pharmacy and AZ license.
• CPR certification required.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate drug information to clinicians and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services for the ED, including pharmacokinetic and therapeutic consultations.
• Review medication orders for appropriateness, interactions, and safety; document interventions.
• Enter and verify orders in the computer system and dispense medications timely.
• Clarify unclear orders with the licensed provider and assist in selecting appropriate regimens.
• Maintain knowledge to provide services for all age groups and keep up with automated systems.
