Job summary

Foothill Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join the Emergency Department team in Tustin, CA. You will support emergency physicians and RNs, administering medications, monitoring patients, and ensuring safety and compassionate care.

The role requires CA LVN licensure, BLS, and potential IV certification within 12 months. Flexibility for days/evenings/nights and weekend shifts is expected in a fast-paced ED environment.

Qualifications

• Current, active California LVN license.
• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to obtain IV Certification within 12 months of hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• At least 1 year knowledge and experience in acute care or ED.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments within LVN scope of practice and hospital policies.
• Assist with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and emergency interventions.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions and document observations.
• Perform basic IV management when certified.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection prevention.
• Support patient care through specimen collection and wound care.
