Job Overview

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), under the supervision of the unit’s director, is responsible for directing and coordinating all functions during their designated shifts. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC assesses and ensures the quality of patient care services in the unit.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assess, monitor, record, and report changes in patients' conditions.
2. Create and maintain detailed and accurate reports and records.
3. Coordinate with healthcare team members to plan, implement, evaluate, and modify care plans based on patient responses.
4. Delegate nursing tasks safely while maintaining accountability for patient care.
5. Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers throughout the care continuum.
6. Adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols in patient care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within 1 year of employment.
• CPI certification within 6 months of employment.
• At least 3 years of RN experience, including ICU or Psych experience.
• Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience.

Trauma experience and prior Charge Nurse experience are preferred.
