Job summary

Cross Country Healthcare is hiring an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced ED team. You will apply clinical expertise to triage, treat, and educate patients in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires an active RN license, at least 1 year of acute care experience, and EPIC EMR proficiency. ADN is required, BSN preferred, with strong critical thinking and teamwork across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Current RN License in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
• Recent EPIC EMR experience required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate triage assessments.
• Administer medications and provide patient education.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies.
• Interpret ECG rhythms and manage critical patient situations.
• Provide care during Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma activations.
• Coordinate patient admissions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Strong ER/ED background.
• Excellent critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
• Experience with trauma, emergency response, and acute patient care.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
