The ERS Dispatcher is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and dispatching technicians in emergency roadside breakdowns. ERS Dispatchers play a key role in creating an environment of service excellence that exceeds industry standards. This is a fast-paced, high-service environment where integrity, positivity, respect, and timeliness are essential.

Starting Wage: $15-19 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality customer service, exceeding expectations by handling questions, complaints, and inquiries professionally.
  • Receive information quickly and accurately, paying attention to detail.
  • Locate breakdowns using maps and understand highway and interstate systems across the U.S.
  • Understand and identify time zones across the U.S.
  • Operate a switchboard and phone systems typical of call centers.
  • Create cases within ticketing software for tracking purposes.
  • Dispatch technicians to breakdown sites with all necessary details, equipment, and inventory.
  • Dispatch electronically and over the phone.
  • Communicate regularly with call center staff and on-site personnel accurately and effectively.
  • Prepare work orders for payment and follow procedures for billing customers.
  • Report to work timely as scheduled.
Additional Duties
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • One to three years of call center or customer service experience, or one to two years in an automotive or diesel repair facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet browsers, call center software, and communication platforms.
  • Typing speed of 30+ WPM.
  • General mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn about diesel industry maintenance.
  • Ability to multitask, follow up thoroughly, and handle customer interactions calmly.
  • Good listening skills and ability to process information quickly.
  • English communication skills.
  • Willingness to deliver courteous, prompt customer service and work cooperatively with team members.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands include occasionally lifting/moving up to 30 lbs., sitting for long periods, and performing various physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and talking. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for qualified individuals with disabilities.
