Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department. You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, assess, plan, implement and evaluate, and work within Telemetry.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, ALS, PALS/ENPC, and other certifications; a BSN is preferred. This full-time day shift offers a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 60 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• ECRN or MICN certificate required within 12 months of hire and maintained current
• EDAP certified facilities: Completion of required annual education
• NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current.
• TNCC required within 12 months of hire and maintain.
• Non-trauma facilities, TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Directly responsible and accountable for care in the Emergency Department and communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s condition.
• Must respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment, and maintain EMTALA compliance and confidentiality.
