Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time evening shift (12-hour) role delivers safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry, and supports patient/family teaching and staff guidance.

Responsibilities include clear communication with physicians about patient changes, adherence to EMTALA regulations, and privacy protection. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate at hire and maintained.
• ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• CEN preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise teaching for patients and families.
• Guide and supervise nursing staff in telemetry and patient care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and test results to the physician.
• Maintain patient privacy, EMTALA compliance, and reporting of abuse.
